At the end of the 11am worship service on Sunday, October 19, we will join together in blessing a 2002 Toyota Camry for Tara Glasper. Westminster has donated $500 to Wheels4Hope to sponsor this blessing. The sponsorship assists with covering repair costs.
Tara, a teacher’s assistant with Durham Public Schools, was referred to Wheels4Hope through Housing for New Hope. She and her husband have two children, ages 16 and 20. Tara’s husband, Douglas, is a veteran on disability and cannot work. Without a vehicle it is very challenging to get Douglas to his medical appointments. Tara spends 3-4 hours a day on the bus. "[Having a car] means that I will be able to get my children to the functions that they have and help my husband get to the appointments that he has. Also, I will be able to get to work on time."
Wheels4Hope is a faith-based, volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income families and individuals by providing them with reliable, affordable vehicles.
This would not be possible without the support of congregations, car donors, and volunteers. Your used car can change lives. Donate your car and get the best tax advantage. Learn more at www.wheels4hope.org or call 919-832-1941.
