The Durham Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope: An Ancient Practice for Here and How
Wednesday, October 16, 6:30pm, Music Room

Join Reynolds Chapman, Executive Director of DurhamCares, for a talk about the practice of pilgrimage and why we need it today in Durham. He will share about the theology of pilgrimage, the history of Christian pilgrimage, and how pilgrimage can be part of all of our lives, right here in our own city. Since 2016, the Durham Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope, a DurhamCares program, has led over 300 people on a journey of discovering how Durham’s story, their own stories, and God’s story are interwoven. Reynolds will share about his work with the Durham Pilgrimage of Pain and Hope and offer practical steps for how we all can make pilgrimage part of everyday life.

Rev. Chapman holds an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School. He lives in the Braggtown neighborhood with his wife, Katelyn, and two children.
