The war in Ukraine enters its second year. An earthquake in Turkey and Syria kills more than 50,000 people. Immigrants worldwide seek refuge and a place to call “home” here in our own city, when home in their country is no longer viable. This year, through our Westminster Easter Offering, the Global Missions Committee seeks to address these three world-wrenching issues. From the funds gathered, we will send help to Music Mission Kyiv’s war relief efforts, Presbyterian Disaster Assistance’s Turkey-Syria earthquake response, and World Relief Durham, which works with refugees settling in the Durham area. As Lent leads to Holy Week and Holy Week to Easter, when we remember Christ’s suffering and resurrection, join us as we bring hope to some of our world’s most hurting places.
