    Lovefeast  Sunday, December 1, 5:00pm, Sanctuary 
    Join us in the Sanctuary for a service of lights, hymns, anthems, and fellowship from Moravian customs. A beloved Westminster tradition, our youth group offers the Lovefeast service to show gratitude for the church family that prays and cares for them throughout the year. Organ preludes begin at 4:30pm. Childcare will be available for ages 4 and younger.

    Advent Lessons & Carols with the Chancel Choir Sunday, December 8, 8:30am and 11:00am, Sanctuary
    Westminster’s Chancel Choir will present its annual program during both worship services. Their beautiful singing will be complemented by music from talented instrumentalists. Bring a friend!

    Greet & Gift at Bull City Trading Company Monday, December 9, 7:00-9:00pm
    Drop by Bull City Fair Trade (811 9th St) to greet our three new staff members – Alex, Cherrie, and Marietta – and gift friends and family with hand-crafted items made by artisans from around the world. Bull City Fair Trade will be closed to the public so we’ll have the store to ourselves as we welcome and get to know new staff, munch on light refreshments, and enjoy a 10% discount on all purchases. Bull City Fair Trade (formerly One World Market) is a nonprofit retail store focused on providing fair wages to low-income craftpersons.

    Advent Fellowship Dinner Wednesday, December 11, 5:45pm, Youth Suite
    Join your Westminster family for a festive holiday dinner! Enjoy delicious cranberry chicken and yummy sides (with chicken nuggets for the kids). Held just after Christmas Pageant rehearsal, make plans to eat with us, then take part in Art & Carols by Candlelight afterward. Please RSVP for dinner at by Monday, December 9, at 12:00 noon. Suggested contributions of $5 per person/$20 per family will be collected at the door.

    Art & Carols by Candlelight Wednesday, December 11, 6:30pm, Music Room
    In contemplation of the mystery and wonder of the season, Ruth Caccavale will lead a discussion on the influences of Christmas on art, paired with insights and music of the season led by Monica Rossman. We will sing classic Christmas carols and beautiful hymns that are made even more special by candlelight. This gathering is sure to stir the Spirit of Christmas in our midst! A member of Westminster, Ruth is a former professor of art with Rutgers University and currently serves as a gallery guide at the Nasher Museum. Monica has been an active church musician for more than 40 years, serving as Associate Chapel Organist/Assistant Director of Choral Activities at Duke and on the music faculty at Ohio State before joining the staff at Westminster in 1994. Childcare will be available for ages 4 and younger.

    Children’s Christmas Pageant December 15, 4:30pm, Sanctuary 
    All children Pre-K through 5th grade are invited to take part in our annual Christmas Pageant and Pageant Choir. Children age 4 and younger who would like to be part of the Pageant are encouraged to walk on as “Twinkling Stars” (parents, be sure to indicate if you have a “star” when you sign up). Rehearsals are Sunday, December 1, 2:30-4:00pm (speaking roles only); Sunday, December 8, 2:30-4:00pm (all participants); Wednesday, December 11, 4:15-6:00pm (all participants and Pageant Choir); and Sunday, December 15, 3:30-4:00pm. We welcome all parent volunteers who would like to help! Childcare will be provided during rehearsals for volunteers’ children age 4 and younger.     Caroling for All Ages Wednesday, December 18, 6:15pm, Meet in the Front Parking Lot
    Bring Christmas spirit to the homes of some of the much-loved members of our Westminster community! A great singing voice is not required – this is all about fun and bringing cheer to others. Carolbooks are provided. Carolers will return to church afterward for warm drinks and sweet treats in the Parlor.

    Christmas Eve Worship Services Tuesday, December 24, 5:00pm and 8:00pm
    Bring family and friends to celebrate the birth of our Savior and King! Our 5:00pm Family Service of Carols and Readings is ideal for families with young children and folks with early evening plans. At 8:00pm, we will offer our Service of Readings, Carols, and Lights with the Chancel Choir & Brass Ensemble. Preludes begin at 7:30pm. Childcare is provided for ages 4 and younger at both services.

    First Sunday After Christmas Worship Sunday, December 29, 11:00am only
    We will have only one worship service at 11:00am on the first Sunday after Christmas. Cherrie Henry, our new Associate Pastor of Congregational Care & Mission, will be preaching. Come, give thanks for the joys of the season!
