On November 16, Westminster will host Campus Ministry Sunday and invite students from our Presbyterian Campus Ministries at Duke, NC Central, and UNC to attend services with us. After the 11am service, we will offer the students a light lunch in the Parlor.
We would like to offer the students treats to take back to campus. If you are interested in offering baked goods or other treats, please bring them to church on Sunday, November 16, or drop them off at the church office on Friday, November 14.
Come to the Alternative Gift Fair with One World Market in the Fellowship Hall after both worship services on Sunday, November 16, to get your holiday shopping done early!
The items you can purchase will benefit crafts people around the world as well as the local ministries and nonprofit organizations we support. View the 2014 alternative gifts brochure online to see which organizations you can donate toward.
Note: Please send alternative gift donations directly to each organization and not to Westminster. The church is no longer able to offer a donation forwarding service.
WPC is again participating in the Volunteer Center of Durham’s Share Your Christmas program by providing gifts to disadvantaged families and individuals who are elderly or disabled.
- Sign-up tables with names of individuals you can sponsor will be available in the Courtyard after worship beginning Sunday, November 9, and in the Mission Center during the week.
- Recommended spending for each individual sponsored is $50-$100.
- Wrapped gifts should be returned to the Mission Center lobby by Sunday, November 30.
