The Young Adult Women’s Bible Study is working its way through Timothy Keller’s study of Romans. The study meets at Saladelia on Thursdays at 7:30pm. All are welcome. Contact Katie Asquith with questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
If you’ve been wanting to dig deeper into the Scriptures and grow in community with other women of faith, this Bible study is for you! We will be studying the women of the Gospel – from those listed in Matthew’s genealogy to John’s story of the woman at the well. We’ll discuss their faith and life, and their (perhaps different?) perspectives on the Gospel stories. Most importantly, we will reflect on their encounters with Jesus, as we reflect on our own encounters with Jesus.
The bulk of our study will be gleaned from Frances Taylor Gench’s book "Back to the Well: Women’s Encounters with Jesus in the Gospels." Several other resources will supplement our study. You do not need to purchase the book to participate; your Bible and journal to jot notes down are all you need!
Please join the young adult women of WPC every other Tuesday night from 7:30-8:30pm, beginning September 25 and continuing Oct. 9, Oct. 23, Nov. 6, Nov. 27, and Dec. 11. Our first meeting will be at Bethany Jillson-Thornhill’s house (contact the church for directions), with other locations TBD throughout the fall. All are welcome, and please bring friends!
