Suggestions from the Congregation on How WE CAN

· Don’t wait for a natural disaster to volunteer in community outreac · Continue to support our church with money, volunteering, and support for our new interim minister. · Assist in the effort to infuse new energy in the Forum adult Sunday School class. · By thoughtfully and prayerfully considering each opportunity we have to give and do as we are led. ·
By being a part in any way
our talents and means allow. · We can enhance outreach by stressing that the Church has no borders and is people, not buildings. · Serve as a Sunday School teacher · Continue to be available to provide food when needed. · Be supportive of our new interim pastor! · By continuing to study and learn with fellow Christians! · Use my musical talents at church. · Come to church regularly and greet/introduce myself to people I don’t know. · Participate! · Be a regular attendee of Sunday worship · Continue the great young people’s programs! · Support the leadership and congregation, volunteer our time, give money · Attend services and smile! Find ways to become involved. · Through Stephen Ministry – listening to others in crisis; through Youth Ministry – coaching, role-modeling, leading · By expressing my appreciation to other members and staff for the many ways they contribute to my experience at Westminster. · By welcoming guests and by contributing to leadership. · Pray for our new minister and our church. · We CAN attend regularly and continue the commitments we have already made. But in the spirit of I CAN, we can find one new way to get involved in the life and work of the church. · Financial contributions · Be more involved in outreach; I CAN try to live more like Jesus – “what would Jesus do?” · We CAN continue to open our hearts and minds to God’s direction for WPC. · Come to church more. · Attend Sunday School and church, get more involved with new members, make new · interim pastor feel welcome. · Volunteer on Sunday mornings, go to Sunday School, sing in choir, serve others, be friendly to everyone, especially new people. · Get involved, volunteer, give time and money · Continuing our support as we have in the past. · By tithing/pledging, by giving my time and energy to the committees and groups, by praying for people and the church, by attending worship regularly, by attending special services and events during the year, by supporting special causes like IHN, Food Bank, Housing for New Hope, and CROP financially, by being encouraging and nurturing to individuals, by being a Stephen Minister, and by being involved in Sunday School and mid-week Bible Study. · By taking part in and helping with activities · pray and listen for God’s direction · give generously of our time, talents, and resources · participate actively in worship, fellowship, and mission work of WPC · Keep my pledge commitment, help with service projects, attend Bible Study · By making meals when people are in need. We CAN give of our financial resources or time and talents to serve the church and community. · Contribute my time, organizational talents, and willingness to help others in any circumstances. And also $$! · Teach Sunday School, pray for community, lector, help with service projects · I CAN give more of myself, my time, and my treasure. · Involvement in Global Health Missions; continue our stewardship · Play the violin at WPC · Pray for members and all in need, serve other within church, community, and world missions, attend church and other events · Provide support for choir, bells, and retreat music · Stewardship is a gift of self – time, talent, tithe. Like any question, nothing that we CAN give of ourselves is too small. Even sharing the WORD or lending an ear… · Times of transition offer exciting opportunities for growth. We CAN make a difference by listening carefully for ways the Spirit is calling us to grow, and by being willing to embrace new things. · Share time, prayers, study more, give, give, give!! Serve, serve, share! · Get involved in new activities. · Find a way to make this a vibrant church by involving currently inactive members. · Benevolence is giving of time, service, and money. I CAN do it! · Become more involved – an active member · Helping out in office with projects when I CAN · Participate in music programs · By being good stewards with our time, talents, and treasure. · I CAN continue to stay active in various activities at church. · I CAN get to church during the week and on Sunday mornings and find things to volunteer for. · By being leaders in teaching WPC about environmental stewardship by chairing “the Green Team” and by teaching Face 2 Face · Give until it hurts! · Welcome and find out about new visitors and new members and find ways to include them. · By being a sound technician and sharing my puppeteering talents with children, in worship, or as a mission; by serving as an usher; by serving as a greeter, lector, and usher during worship services, and by volunteering in the summer. · Reinvigorate Crew 451 |
