All officer candidates for the class of 2020 were examined during a lunch provided by the elders and were later introduced. All candidate examinations were endorsed and all candidates, both deacons-elect and elders-elect, were accepted.
Personnel changes within the Ways and Means Commission include Judd Staples as church treasurer and representative of the Finance Committee, replacing Anne Wolf, who did an outstanding service. Dave Pottenger will take over leadership from Dave Mountain, and Jeremy Trantham will represent the Facilities & Grounds Committee, replacing Doug Wellemeyer.
The Insurance Board will be providing our property insurance with a higher deductible, after it was decided not to renew our existing coverage with Church Mutual. The Christian Education Committee will be dividing into separate committees: Adult Christian Education (ACE) and Children and Youth Christian Education (CYCE). A called Session meeting took place on August 30 to hear from Robert Sotolongo of DTW Architects & Planners, and about stewardship and capital campaign feasibility updates.
