Education

Westminster has strong ties to the educational community.  The programs that Westminster supports provide opportunities for young children, youth, and even college students.

Our support of the campus ministries at Duke University, North Carolina Central University, and UNC-Chapel Hill helps to provide staffing, fellowship activities, counseling, and mission opportunities for local college students of all faiths.
Durham Nativity School provides low-income middle school boys an educational environment that will allow them to become successful leaders of the Durham community.
Since 1988, Project Graduation has provided a safe, drug and alcohol-free environment for the graduating seniors of six local high schools to celebrate. They are currently expanding to include many more schools.
Partners for Youth Opportunity partners with the community to provide Durham youth with opportunities to connect, develop, and contribute through mentoring, employment and educational support. PYO is the product of a merger between YO:Durham (Year of Opportunity for Durham Teens), and Partners for Youth, which were both created to address the chronic disconnection of Durham youth from economic and educational opportunities.
