Our Junior Choir for the Children’s Christmas Pageant will meet for a brief warm-up this Sunday, December 11th, at 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Please be prompt, bringing your child(ren) directly to be seated in the front pews on the lectern side. We will briefly rehearse our 3 anthems (The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy–What Can I Give Him?–Light One Candle), then the children will be dismissed to the parlor to dress for the pageant. Choir members will be brought back into the sanctuary–in full pageant costumes–during the preludes, & will be seated in the front pews on the lectern side until it is time to move to the chancel steps for their anthems. Parents are asked to sit with/among the children throughout this time, & all are encouraged to be quietly respectful during the preludes, which feature wonderful Christmas selections, including a set of violin carols played by our own Lauren Nichols. Once the choir has sung its last anthem, singers know to move into their assigned positions for the start of the pageant itself (those not in the pageant can sit with family at this point).
Many thanks for your participation. . .the children are sure to make a joyful noise to the Lord! Please call or e-mail Monica Rossman with any questions or concerns.
