Christian Education Committee

The Christian Education (CE) committee’s mission is to
work with the Director of Christian Education (DCE) in
providing educational and growth opportunities to increase
knowledge and understanding of the Word of God and the
life and teaching of Jesus Christ; and to encourage and
support the practice of this knowledge and understanding
of our lives as Christians and a community, covenant
people.

In 2009, we added two new initiatives, the Advent Reflections booklet, and the Baptism Devotional.  Our committee is fueld by input at training sessions of Sunday school teachers, our retreat, and a committee meeting atmosphere that seeks out new ideas and responds to the enrichment needs of the congregation, however we come to ascertain new ways to serve the will of God.

The CE committee plans and coordinates:
• Sunday school for all ages
• Children’s mid-week program (MP2)
• Teacher Training and appreciation
• Vacation Church School
• Confirmation class
• Sacraments class (1-4th grades)
• Worship class(1st/2nd grades alternate years)
• Library
• Annual summer musical
• Adult mid-week Bible studies
• Learning activities for Advent/Lent and Pentecost
(with a new evening program for children through
adults)
• Spiritual Enrichment weekend
