After their January retreat, the Session communicated with you about our significant budget gap, as well as their deep belief in the priorities represented in committees’ budget requests – especially to step forward in mission both locally and globally, and to better support our wonderful and aging physical plant.

And so many of you have responded. Some of you have made pledges. Some of you have increased your pledges. I am so grateful for your continued generosity. We are making solid progress, but still need your help. If you haven’t yet made a pledge for 2017, please do so by contacting Elizabeth Takla. We need everyone.

More good news is that a kind and generous member agreed to fully fund the anticipated cost of replacing the Sanctuary roof, gutters, wood trim, and other work on the exterior, a gift of $150,000. This is a tremendous gift, and it allows us to better focus resources toward the budget and toward supporting the work of our facilities master plan as it continues to unfold.

The Session and I continue to trust that God has placed within this community the resources it needs to fulfill the mission to which God has called us. I am so grateful for what we have done together thus far, and look forward to continuing to move forward in faith.
