outside world.

e. A church that focuses on the scriptures to define what "god wants"
rather than a loose interpretation of what God wants.
f. More small groups for Bible study - group discussion.

community.

(globally) and takes care of its members as well (inward) - A church
that knows God's stories.

based in scripture.
37. A vital church that is both filled with and moved to act by God's
Holy Spirit.
38. A loving and caring church. A church that does not support groups
that discriminate.
39. A welcoming, lively place to serve others, discover their gifts and
grow in faith.

not only fond memories but a foundation of faith.
42. One that acts out Micah 6:8.
43. The church that we currently have would serve as an excellent
example of how the church should be in the future. Caring for our own,
as well as the surrounding community.
44. One where the feeling of community that we have today has been
sustained. Maybe we shouldn't "TALK" during the prelude and postlude,
but when you come into God's house and you see all the wonderful people
who are there, it seems only right and polite to folks raised in the
SOUTH to acknowledge, speak to, reach out and touch our brothers and
sisters in Christ. I wouldn't want to lose that warm sense of family we
have that has come from working together, playing together, singing
lustily together, helping each other and helping people less fortunate
than we are. We came to Westminster because the church was more focused
on others than on self. It is through helping others TOGETHER we have
become a family. We need to sustain that for now and the future.
45. Actively open to all seekers of Christ. Activities that actively
promote the wholeness of the body of Christ. A presence in our
community AND a presence in the lives of all members of our
congregation. A church willing to explore new ways to worship our Lord.
46. I
would like to see us be a church that strongly encourages Sunday School
attendance, especially for adults and youth. Don't you think that would
please God?
47.
Involved , lots of family activities, busy
adult and children Sunday School classes
48. I would like there to be
included in Sunday School lessons and sermons, an emphasis on the
Christian ethics connection to caring for this wonderful planet God has
given us so that our children, grandchildren and unborn generations can
experience the blessing of a livable planet. The full support of
Haywood during his entire tenure to projects connected to this has
deepened my faith, as I felt, as Haywood did, that God has spoken to us
about this.
