Following are the responses to
question 1 “What experiences/activities/events at WPC have most
enriched your faith?”
Most of these responses were provided at church on October 7, others
online.
- That Westminster is a church that is concerned
about it’s members and takes care of them but that we also reach out
to the community and world beyond us to help those in need.
- Sunday School
- Youth group/friends
- Stephen Ministry, Mission, Rally Day, the love
and care of the people of WPC that have helped me face a lifelong
personal demon, Maundy Thursday, Love Feast, I was married here.
- (Both Spring and Fall) The Women’s Retreats
have really meant a lot to me as a member of WPC.
- Adult chaperone with youth mission trip to
Merida
- Friends, Rob, Natalie, Blake Tanner, Emily
- Thought provoking sermons
- Music
- Our ministers, their messages, faith, and
fruits of them and the congregation’s works. Bible classes and
study group. The fellowship and spirit within our church.
- Listening to Haywood’s sermons which were
directly applicable to my everyday life.
- The Sacrament of Baptism and the community of
faith dedicated to the nurturing of children.
- Teaching Sunday School! I am continually
amazed how much I learn from children.

- Having been a member for more than 30 years, I
still marvel at the new, innovative ways that Christian Education is
accomplished. The teaching faculty is remarkable and the CE
leadership is untiring and completely supportive. From classrooms
on Sunday morning to Bible Studies during the week, Vacation Church
School, Intergenerational Advent and Pentecost events, MP2, and
summer musicals, there always seems to be something for everyone.
- My faith has been deepened immeasurably
by being in fellowship with other people who love God and strive to
follow Christ in their lives. This has happened simply by feeling
the Spirit working in their lives and in our relationships, on
retreats, in studies, at worship, working together for others, in
play. The "tie that binds" is indeed blessed at WPC!

- I have received the most spiritual guidance
from Church services, Sunday school and Bible studies

- Working with the youth and seeing God's work
in the lives of our future leaders.
- The monthly meetings and annual retreats of
the Men's Breakfast Fellowship enriched my faith at Westminster. I
hope we can revive the fellowship in the coming year.

- Sunday worship services in the fellowship
hall. Members of a faith community coming together to worship and
praise God. Nothing fancy, just a loving Christian spirit. The
feeling that we were all part of the worship experience, not just
spectators.
- The Disciple classes truly enriched my faith
journey. Learning and growing with a small group of individuals was
an amazing experience. I need to make time to continue to
participate in more of the great Christian Education offerings that
WPC has. I have also been truly enriched by the wonderful music
program at WPC. Monica is truly a gift from God!!! Her ministry
has inspired me on many levels. The Chancel Choir is a caring
organization within WPC. As Haywood used to say, when we sing we
get to pray twice. How great is that!
