Called meeting of the Session                                              Westminster Presbyterian Church

26 June 2005

The Session of Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) convened at a called meeting to receive a new member at 10:30AM on 26 June, 2005, in room 105 of the Mission Center. The Moderator, H.Holderness, called the meeting to order and opened it with a prayer. 

Associate Pastors P.Ransford and B.Berghaus was absent and excused. 

Elders present were D. Lanier, B. Chesnut, C. Haynes, and D. Wellemeyer.  Elders F.Anton, D.Elvers, N.Gaddis, MT.Peters, M.Pickard, B.Derr, G.Green, and B.Nicoll were absent and excused. 

Also in attendance were Ruth Tasgal and her son, Shiloh. 

C. Haynes acted as clerk for the meeting. 

The moderator declared a quorum present. 

Examination and Reception of New Member: 

Ruth Tasgal shared her faith journey and path to membership at WPC with those present. 

Motion:  A motion receiving Ruth Tasgal as a member of WPC by the pertinent procedures prescribed in the Book of Order was made, seconded and approved. 

Ruth will become a member of WPC by reaffirmation of faith and will be introduced at worship after the meeting by B.Chesnut. 

The Session’s current business having been completed at 10:50AM, the Moderator declared the meeting adjourned, and it was closed with a prayer.
