The Session of Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) convened for a called meeting at 12:05 p.m. on 30 September 2007 in the Sanctuary during the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service for the purpose of ordaining and installing new Elders and Deacons as designated earlier by the Session. The Moderator, Jack Walchenbach, called the meeting to order and opened it with a responsive reading prayer with the Congregation.

Clerk D.Derr was present.

The Moderator declared a quorum present.

ORDINATION AND INSTALLATION OF NEW OFFICERS

D.Derr came forward bringing the candidates to be ordained and installed. As the candidates faced the Congregation, D.Derr, speaking for the Congregation, announced to the Moderator that John Dancy, Helen Tharrington, and Eric Wolf, having previously been ordained, I bring Claudia Draffin and Holly Schmidt to be ordained as Elders and I bring Sarah High, Carol Kelly, Gary Lehew, Neal Nichols, Marty Warburton and Rob Wilgus to be ordained as Deacons. D.Derr then announced to the Moderator I bring John Dancy, Claudia Draffin, Holly Schmidt and Eric Wolf to be installed as Elders and I bring Sarah High, Carol Kelly, Gary Lehew, Neal Nichols, Helen Tharrington, Marty Warburton and Rob Wilgus to be installed as Deacons.  

Associate Pastor B.Berghaus asked the Constitutional Questions of the candidates to which they responded affirmatively.

D.Derr asked the Constitutional Questions of the Congregation to which it responded affirmatively.

The candidates to be ordained knelt for prayer and the laying on of hands by all Pastors and Elders present.

The Moderator led a responsive reading prayer with the Congregation.

The Pastors, members of the Session and other participating Elders formally welcomed the newly ordained and installed Elders and Deacons into their fellowship in ministry.

The meeting was closed with the singing of the hymn Here I am Lord at 12:20 p.m.
