The Congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church ("WPC") convened for a called meeting on 18 September 2005 in the WPC Sanctuary at 11:05 a.m. Moderator H.Holderness called the meeting to order, declared a quorum present, appointed D.Derr to serve as clerk and opened it with prayer.  

The Moderator pointed out that the meeting had been called by the Session in order that the Congregation vote on the recommendation and nominations made by the 2005 Nominating Committee during the called meeting of the Congregation on September 11, 2005. 

The Moderator then called for any discussion of the recommendation that Deacon Dorene Palermo be elected to a three-year term in the Class of 2008. There was none. 

Action:  The Congregation by a voice vote elected Deacon Dorene Palermo to a three-year term in the Class of 2008. 

The Moderator then asked if there were any additional nominations to be offered from the floor for the two vacant two-year terms in the Class of 2007.  No additional nominations were made. The Moderator then announced he would entertain a motion that these persons be elected by acclamation. 

Motion:  A motion that members Bill McAvoy and Rick Overholt be elected to the two vacant two year terms in the Diaconate Class of 2007 by acclamation was made, seconded and approved. 

The business for which the meeting had been called having been completed, the Moderator adjourned the meeting 11:10 a.m., and the regular order of worship resumed.
