The Congregation of Westminster Presbyterian Church ("WPC") convened for a called meeting on 7 May 2006 in the WPC Sanctuary at the beginning of the 11:00 worship service. Moderator H.Holderness called the meeting to order, declared a quorum present, appointed D.Derr to serve as clerk and opened it with prayer.
The Moderator explained the purpose of the meeting was to elect four members to serve on the Session for regular three-year terms and seven members to serve on the Board of Deacons for regular three-year terms.
The Moderator then asked if there were any additional nominations to be offered from the floor for Elder. No additional nominations were made.
The Moderator then announced he would entertain a motion that these persons be elected by acclamation.
Motion: A motion that the following members be elected to the offices and for the terms as nominated by acclamation as Elders to the Class of 2009: Kathryn Bunch, Bruce Cunningham, Sara Tatum Pottenger, and Shane Ruffing.
The Moderator then asked if there were any additional nominations to be offered from the floor for Deacon. No additional nominations were made.
The Moderator then announced he would entertain a motion that these persons be elected by acclamation.
Motion: A motion that the following members be elected to the offices and for the terms as nominated by acclamation as Deacons to the Class of 2009: Bill Burig, Scotti Harwood Dunlop, Bill Hatch, Louise Holland, Jim Joseph, Darren Skeen and Anne Vann.
The business for which the meeting had been called having been completed, the Moderator adjourned the meeting at 11:05 a.m., and the regular order of worship resumed.
