The Session of Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) convened for a called meeting at 5 p.m. on 22 April 2007 in the Parlor of the WPC Mission Center.  The meeting was called to order by the Acting Moderator, P.Ransford, and it was opened with a prayer by him.

Moderator J.Walchenbach was absent and excused.

Associate Pastor B.Berghaus was present.

Elders F.Anton, B.Cunningham, J.Jones, S.Landis, M.T.Peters, S.Pottenger and S.Ruffing were present. Elders K.Bunch, A.Denson, N.Gaddis, J.Graham and D.Wellemeyer were absent and excused.

Clerk of Session D.Derr was present.

Also, present was WPC Elders Marge Enberg, Kathy Lundstrom and Sue McCaughan who were some of the mentors to these Confirmands.

The Acting Moderator declared a quorum present.

Examination of Confirmands:

The Acting Moderator divided the members of the 2007 Confirmation Class into two groups with the following Elders as the facilitators for their respective group: J.Jones and S.Pottenger, to be examined by the Session.  The facilitators then took their respective groups to the designated area and proceeded with the examination.

Motion:  A motion sustaining the confirmation examination of all of the members of the 2007 Confirmation Class who were present, and enrolling them as active members of WPC by the pertinent procedures prescribed in the Book of Order was made, seconded and approved.

The confirmation of the 2007 Confirmation Class is to occur during the 11:00 worship service on Youth Sunday, 6 May 2007.

The Session's current business, having been completed, the Acting Moderator declared the meeting adjourned at 5:58 p.m. and it was closed with a prayer of thanksgiving for and celebration of the 2007 Confirmation Class as an adjourning prayer offered by P.Ransford.
