WPC’s annual Easter offering will be collected on Sunday, April 5. Half of the offering will support One Great Hour of Sharing, an ecumenical effort that began in 1949, and continues to provide relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and assist in helping to empower the poor and oppressed.

This year, the half of WPC’s Easter offering that aids a local organization will go to Meals on Wheels of Durham, Inc., a non-profit agency with a mission to serve elderly, frail, disabled, and convalescing individuals who cannot provide proper nutrition for themselves. It is their goal to provide the combination of nutritious meals and social contact that will help over 300 clients remain independent for as long as possible. In addition, Meals on Wheels offers an Emergency Meal program for people being discharged from a hospital or rehab facility.

The offering will be collected on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. Please write "Easter offering" in the memo line of any check.
